Have Fans, Will Travel
It has been said that without support nothing can be successful. In the case of what we are doing, this is very true. Although a review is really in and of itself nothing more than an opinion that was felt should be shared, it becomes much more useful when someone reads it who wants that specific opinion. At the end of each section is a button that will open a submittal form for your request.
Reviews
Being that we do this more as a hobby and less as a way of making revenue and merchandise receiving, we can't necessarily guarantee requested reviews - IF we happen to have access to it or can manage to, then we probably can complete that request, otherwise we can't do much for you except keep any eye out.
For example: Let's say you keep hearing about this one T.V. show, (say Doctor Who) and are wondering if it's any good, so you submit a request. If this happens to be something we have seen, want to see, or can easily see (in this case, the new Doctor Who is on Netflix, where we could easily watch it upon having the time, or again if we have already watched it) then yes, we very well could try and write up a nice little review for you.
Alternatively, let's say you want us to review something we have absolutely no way of doing - say an out of print film or a game that just can't run on the tools we have - then we really can't help you out at all, and we apologize for that.
TISR Audio Sessions
Now this is a bit different. We like everyone to have access to this (for example, it is available on Netflix streaming), so if it's something people can get too easily enough then there's a good chance we can get around to it and make a session. Assuming we decide to go ahead with guest attendance, we may also ask if you would like to join us for the recording session (details would follow then, but for intents and purposes it would be best for you to have access to Netflix as well) - HOWEVER we hold the power on whether or not we post the recording (IE. If you are going to be an offensive jerk the entire time with no team spirit, don't expect us to upload it for the world).
The reason we do this one differently is because of it's very nature: TISR is meant to be a supplementary material to (what is generally really bad) films - because most of that type of film are more enjoyable in a friendly party atmosphere that you might not otherwise have readily available. It's meant to be played along at the same time of these movies, and as such we try to have everyone have access to those movies.
Terminal Question 101 Guesting
So you think you know a little about something? Maybe you've been a super huge fan about a certain comic or franchise, or you have a job building things and love it so much you want to talk about it? Well, luckily for you, you don't need forgiving friends to paint it on anymore! With TQ101 now operating, if there's something that you're willing to talk about and have the necessary equipment, then its the proverbial "one foot in the door!"
The list of necessary equipment to take part as a guest on TQ101:
- Decent quality microphone and headphones, or a decent quality headset that combines both. (This is to prevent sound feeding back in from speakers to mic. Quality is subjective - it needn't be hundreds of dollars, but if it's hard to understand you then it's not going to work).
- Skype, with the necessary internet connection with which to use it.
The only other thing required is for you to have a passion about something - the more general in terms of it's scope the better as it provides more grounds for me to ask questions and learn. Some examples: You have been a fan of the Fantastic Four since it was created, and wish more people would hear about it. You work as a smithy crafting various metal do-dads, and think it's interesting enough to want to talk about what you know. You are a huge fan of Horror movies and have graced many a convention in pursuit of them all, and think people often under-sell the great depth they can achieve.
If you've made it through all of that and are still interested, fill out the form below with VALID information - if I can't get back to you with the given email address, then obviously I won't be able to get in touch with you to try and set up a time for recording!
